CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
Pre Ballet I and II
(3-5 year olds)
A fun and gentle introduction to music and dance-Coordination and creative imagination thru
the joy of movement
Beginning Ballet
(6-7 year olds) Rhythm and coordination, primary ballet positions, spatial awareness, simple stretches and strength building exercises that prepare a child for more formal training
Juniors (7-11 year olds) The fundamentals of classical ballet
Elementary I-A For students 8 years and older who have completed the first level of ballet study-Terminology and elementary technique in simple combinations
Elementary I-B For students who have progressed to a more involved study of technique and ability to execute
Elementary II
Preparation for pointe work
Intermediate I Beginning pointe work
Intermediate II - Advanced Advanced ballet technique and pointe work, development of individuality and stage presentation.
Adult Beginner I-II Ballet for adults with little or no previous training-Classes incorporate body toning and stretching with the basic principles of classical ballet
Adult Intermediate - Adult Advanced Structured ballet class with a vocabulary appropriate to adult intermediate or adult advanced students
